Police have fined a 17-year-old learner driver $1032 for alleged hooning offences near Gympie.
The boy was allegedly caught by police doing burnouts in a Holden Commodore in the middle of the Bruce Highway near Chatsworth on February 6.
His license plates have been confiscated, he has been issued three traffic infringement notices and given seven demerit points.
