Coolum surfer Isabella Nichols has won the Bells Beach Pro.
27 year-old Nichols beat Brazil’s Luana Silva in yesterday’s women’s final to ring the bell at the world’s longest running pro event.

Nichols said it’s a dream come true.
“I don’t really think I have words for this one right now,” she said after the win.
“To have my family down here right now, may Dad and Maddie chair me up the beach, it’s a tear jerker.
“Honestly I can’t really put into words this feeling that I have and the calibre of surfing in the women’s tour right now is insane,” Higgens
Nichols has been surfing at Bells Beach three times a year since she was 16.
Fellow Australian Jack Robinson won the men’s event.
