An elderly man, trapped in mud for two days after falling from his tractor in the Gympie region, has tragically passed away.
The 95-year-old became stranded on a Carters Ridge property on Sunday November 6.
The farmer wasn’t found until the following Tuesday morning when paramedics discovered him covered head-to-toe in mud but ‘miraculously’ alive.

He was rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition, suffering from hypothermia and severe dehydration.
Police have confirmed the 95-year-old tragically died in hospital on Saturday, November 12
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
