Police are looking for a man who seriously injured a woman in an assault at Peregian Beach on Tuesday.
It’s alleged the woman in her 60s told the man, who was walking a dog, it was a dog free beach and threw a stick towards the animal.

The man then allegedly tackled the woman and fled….she received injuries to her feet, back, broken ribs, a lacerated liver and a damaged neck.
He’s described as Caucasian, solid build and is in his early 20s.
Anyone with information or CCTV of the area is urged to contact police.
