Death Stranding 2: On the Beach happened at a Special Panel at SXSW, Hideo Kojima took the stage alongside Norman Reedus, Troy Baker, and Woodkid to unveil the release date fans have been eagerly awaiting. The highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, is set to launch on 26 June 2025, with pre-orders opening on Monday, 17 March, at 10:00 am local time.
Building on the legacy of the critically acclaimed Death Stranding, this gripping open-world adventure transports players to a haunting post-apocalyptic landscape. Directed and designed by the visionary Hideo Kojima, the game boasts a stellar cast, including Norman Reedus reprising his role as Sam Porter Bridges, Elle Fanning as Tomorrow, and Léa Seydoux as Fragile.

PlayStation Australia has announced the launch date for Death Stranding 2 (DS2), along with details of its three editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. The Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions offer exclusive perks, including 48-hour early access and unique in-game items like a Quokka patch and a Quokka hologram.
In addition, Kojima Productions has revealed the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach “Stranding Harmony” Concert Series—a global celebration of the game’s mesmerizing music. The tour begins on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the iconic Sydney Opera House, with additional performances planned across the globe.
